As part of its proud sponsorship of a range of fantastic Kiwi multisport events – including the upcoming Speight's Coast to Coast – the team at Speight's has created a series of live, online, interactive webinars aimed at dedicated multisport enthusiasts who passionately train for, and participate in, the events Speight's supports.
In the next installment, Olympic gold medalist Mahe Drysdale will be joining existing webinar hosts, nine-time Speight's Coast to Coast champion Steve Gurney and Olympic bronze medal rower (now multisport enthusiast) Nathan Twaddle as they focus on the subject of sports psychology.
"We'll discuss the importance of mental preparation, dealing with nerves, setbacks and injuries, and race day strategy," says Steve Gurney.
"Mahe obviously has a wealth of knowledge on the subject, and as he will be competing in this year's Speight's Coast to Coast himself, he'll be once again putting it into practise!"
The webinar (third in a series of four monthly instalments) will kick off on Thursday January 31st at 7:30pm and can be viewed at www.speights.co.nz. A chat room will enable "live" viewers to ask questions of the presenters. It's also possible to watch the webinars "on demand" via the video library on the Speight's website.
The 31st Speight's Coast to Coast is held on February 8 and 9, 2013.
Watching may just give you the winning edge!
